hills here we come !

Another good interval session today with the Broulee Runners. Jill, Nev and Liza all improved their pace over two laps (1km) while also reducing their recovery time between the intervals. Next week the BRs will look to complete either a fartlek session or hills in an effort to find more speed.

Wednesday night is our usual run - a celebratory post Christmas and pre New Year run - all welcome at the usual time.

Sunday long run for anyone interested.

The week before Christmas

Broulee Runners had a busy week in the lead up to Christmas. While Mike cleverly avoided the Sunday long run by going away for Christmas in Geelong, Liza and Nev completed their first 30 km run in the lead up to the marathon planned sometime in 2010 - will the Canberra Marathon happen? Jill also completed her longest run, 23kms, in preparation for a possible half in early 2010.

On Tuesday, Liza, Bridget, Jill and Nev completed a long intervals session at Captain Oldrey Park - ouch.

Seven runners/walkers completed the run on Wednesday - Jill, Mirabel, Mark, Dave, Simon, Kim and Nev. Simon was down from Canberra and was the fastest with a 23.01 over the 5 km distance, in very hot conditions. Well done Simon. Good to see Mark and Mirabel back.

A reminder about our end of year celebrations on Wednesday 30th, with post run/walk drinks. BYO drinks and chair.

Merry Christmas

Goodbye to Minnie

A sad farewell to Minnie, Barb and Geoff's dog of many years who frequented the Broulee Running group over the past few years. What a fit dog she was too.

50 runs coming up for Mike

Mike is almost up to his 50th run ..... and Robyn is not far behind.

Christmas Run and other news

All are welcome to the annual Christmas Run on Wednesday, 30th December - wear some tinsel and come with your Christmas spirit! Enjoy some post run drinks afterwards. The more the merrier.

Speed session and drills thanks to Nev on Tuesday of this week at Captain Oldrey at 7 am.

A few of us training towards a half marathon or marathon in 2010. Long runs each Sunday for anyone interested.
