An excellent field of 73 runners and walkers started for the last event before Daylight Saving kicks in for our next event-on 4th October when we start at 5 O’clock. We had lots of visitors and in particular we welcomed James Ward from England as well as Ollie, Lotte, Thomas and Freya Andresen as well as Ciara McGillycutty and Nate Christian-Bailey from Norfolk Island.

We congratulated Imogen Seidel on reaching her 30thrun and she received her shirt commemorating the occasion.

In the 2-kilometres personal best times were recorded by Lenny Lassau, James, Lewis and Max Gunn, Will Johnson, Bonnie Lloyd-Jones, Ross Wilson, Eli Melgaard, Patrick Holland.

In the 3-kilometres PBs were recorded by Harry and Luke Lawrence and the ever improving Aengus Delaney.

In the 4-kilometres Matt Johnsen ran a sensational time of 13.08 to improve his previous best time.  Others to improve were Rob Kellett, Ben Rosenbaum, Ali O’Brien and Anna-Liisa Matikainen.  Anna-Lissa is an outstanding athlete having ran an excellent time just over 3 hours in the recent Sydney Marathon.

20 September 2023

Thanks to the southerly wind that come at the right time 49 people turned up to contest the run.  We were very fortunate to have the help of Erin Domeny to do the hard task of recording the names of each finisher.  David McCann performed the task of master of ceremony in partnership with Deb Connaughton.  Robyn Kennedy had the night off on grandmother duties.

We welcomed the three members of the Dullard family, and we hope to see Mary, Jimmy, and Tommy on many more occasions.  It was pleasing to see Emma Holand from Victoria visiting family come and run this evening.

In the 2-kilometres Sara Norgate improved by 1 second, Ross Norgate by 75 seconds and Kate Lawrence by 55 seconds.

In the 3-kilometres Felicity Enriquez improved by 5 seconds and in the 5- kilometres Brendan Gorzalka improved by 62 seconds and Ben Rosenbaum lopped 8 seconds from his previous best time.
