At the start of the run the temperature was over 30 degrees, and this made the water in the Creek very inviting.  This was seen as a reward for the 60 starters as most dived in after the event.  Most opted for the 2-kilometres with 41 accepting this challenge, which certainly tested their endurance and fitness.

 

In the 2-kilometres there were only 2 runners achieving personal best times and 2 equalled their best time.  Millie Chapman improved by 91 seconds and Pippa Rosenbaum improved by 35 seconds.  Harry and Hayley Mackay equalled their previous best times for the 2-kilometre distance.

 

It was a special night for Audrey Knobel who achieved her 100^th run.  Audrey’s first event was 25 May 2016 when she ran with her father Anthony over the 2-kilometre distance.  She has demonstrated talent for running with a personal best time over 2-kilometres of 8.34, which is the record for females over this distance.
