Tonight, was a night for the mud runners as the hill was very slippery and grass at the bottom was soft and treacherous. Zoe Whymark, being a champion Triathlete, was able to handle the conditions and recorded a personal best time by 9 seconds. Having run with her dog may have helped her seek out the safest tracks. It was a great night for the Melgaard family with all five tackling this tough event. Narelle Melgaard, the tough mother, managed a personal best time in the 2-kilometres.
We welcomed Virginia and Alden Southgate to their first run. Virginia incidentally comes from Virginia in the USA. To continue with the international flavour, we welcomed Katharina Birks from Germany. Having given birth to twins 6 months ago, she certainly is an inspiration to women and showed excellent form in her first 5-kilometre run back on the track.
