Perfect running conditions attracted 48 starters to this evening’s run.  We welcomed Alex, Olivia and Pedro Oliveira family and Ruby Wilton to their first outing with the group.  It is part of the atmosphere of the event that Ruby was carried most of the way by her grandmother Kathryn and Olivia was pushed in a pram by her father Pedro.  History tell us that in a short time both children will be running the 2 kilometres by themselves.

In the 2 kilometres personal best times were recorded by Tony and Tom Ireson.  In the 3.5 kilometres Stella Lloyd-Jones ran her second consecutive PB.  In the 5 kilometres PBs were recorded by Andrew Greenway and Sophie Carver.

Congratulations were given to Louise Cox and Matt Lambert for the excellent runs in the Stromlo Running festival in Canberra last weekend.

Bruce Dickinson recorded his 150^th run this evening.  His first run was on the 4^th February 2015 after having a hip replacement and was apprehensive about his chance of running at all.  Since that time, he has improved and only last week did a personal best in the 3.5 kilometres.  He is an excellent example for people wanting to excel after major surgery.
