Another hot afternoon greeted the runners this week. Was great to see 26 competitors turn up. All our visitors have packed up and headed home, and was wonderful to see all our locals return. We welcomed back Anna and Ellen Hosking who have not competed for a while and we met Chantal Bradshaw and Riley Lodding all putting in strong performances.
Thank you to Dave, Sue and Ross for helping out with the time keeping. See you all next week.

Well we finally had a mild afternoon for this weeks run which was a pleasant change from the very hot afternoons we have had over the last month. We had a great turnout of 36 competitors and some fantastic results.

We welcomed back Liza Martini (pictured) who has returned to Broulee after living over in Canada for the past year with her family on a teacher exchange, is great to have you home.

We also had a visit from Matt Johnsen (pictured) who has also returned to Australia after completing his university scholarship in Texas, USA. Matt recorded the fastest 5km run this time last year at 16min 3seconds, and was back to try and improve on it. However, he came in at 16min 23seconds which is still an amazing effort and we hope to see you try again when you are next in Broulee. We say a sad farewell to Matt, his Mum Annie and Dad Peter who are all moving to Melbourne for work commitments but they assure us that they will be making regular visits back to Broulee. Good luck on your new adventure.

As the school holidays draw to a close we also say goodbye to all our visitors that have joined us, has been great meeting you all and we look forward to seeing you all again on your next visit.

Broulee runners is a non competitive run/walk, you are encouraged to better your own time each week and all results are recorded for you to see your progress. There is NO charge to participate so come on up next Wednesday and have a go. See you then.

Well summer certainly hit us full force this week. We experienced extremely trying conditions with the heat still sitting at approximately 30 degrees at 5pm when we set off.

Some great results were recorded in all events and everyone should be commended for participating.

A huge welcome back to Dan Lloyd-Jones who has returned after few weeks off over Christmas, and put in a fantastic run with Geoff Hawke hot on his heels. Well done to you both.

We say goodbye to Emma Robbins (pictured with Mum Lisa) who is moving to Melbourne for work. Hope to see you when back in Broulee visiting. Good luck on your new job.

Was great to see so many visitors to the area turn up for our first run of 2014. We had runners from as far away as Sweeden, Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra come along. We welcomed back the Mckenzies, Hawkes and Will Golds who we see every year on their annual visit. Was some fantastic times recorded well done to you all. After our run this week we celebrated a great year with a Christmas party. Thank you to Richard who brought his gorgeous Ford along, there were a lot of "big" kids checking it out.

We had another great turnout this week considering the heat and numerous Christmas parties that were on.  An outstanding performance from Kathryn and Adele who once again returned with PBs, well done to you both.
We welcomed back Anna, Tom, Linus and Peter Quayle (pictured) who when are down in Broulee visiting, come and join us, was great to see you all.
This week  was our second last Broulee runners for the year, with Christmas and New year both falling on a Wednesday, we will miss those couple of weeks.
We will be having our Christmas party next Wednesday 18 December after the run,  so bring along a plate and wear something Christmassy, should make for an interesting run, lookout Broulee. Everyone welcome.

Numbers were down a little this week due to the very hot conditions.

We welcomed Adele to the group, and she completed a great first run, was lovely meeting you hope to see you again next week. Is always great to see new faces coming along, so if anyone out there has been thinking about coming to run or walk the course, turn up next Wednesday and give it a go.

Well done once again to Laurie and Kathryn who are both going from strength to strength achieving PBs.

Our Christmas party is in a couple of weeks (18 December) we will complete the run and then have a social get together afterwards. Everyone welcome, bring a plate.
