bush capital run - race report
We were a bit worried about the predicted winds and rain in Canberra for the annual Bush Capital Runs, however, God looked upon the event favourably and once again, a good day for running - although the winds strengthened during the later part of the run and there was a bit of rain. Both Kim and I competed in the 16km runs.
Kim finished in a time of 1.28.25, which he was pleased with. Not a PB, but great preparation for his first City to Surf this weekend. Liza finished in 1.22.09, which was 20 seconds short of her PB of 2009 - she is blaming the windy and those dreadful hills !!!
We'll both be back next year - well organised event and fabulous to see so many locals from the area - Claudie, Jo, Sue, Rob .... hope for even more in 2011.
